2023 Festival Ensemble

For the second year in a row, the Countdown Improv Festival is excited to convene a festival ensemble, comprised of individual performers from across the United States. The ensemble members will work together before and during the festival to create a cohesive, experimental show that is rooted in improv but may also incorporate other comedic formats.

The ensemble will perform on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights on the festival’s Commodore Stage — our curated, intimate side stage meant to showcase exuberant, experimental work — located on the ground floor of the Ybor Performing Arts Building. Each night they will be joined by a selection of teams whose shows embody the Commodore Stage’s programming philosophy, as well as by a handful of festival performers who will “sit in” with the ensemble.
