Victoria Dym

Victoria Dym is an improv artist, who most recently debuted her solo improv show, The Haiku Lady at the 2021 Countdown Improv Festival. Victoria was a player on the house team, Dear Aunt Gertrude, at the Box Improv Studio for four years until the theater permanently closed in March of 2020. Victoria has also been a producer for two teams, Chicken & Waffles and Three Fingers Crossed. She was a player in each of these trio teams as well, at the Countdown Festival 2018, 2019, 2020 (online) and The Tampa Fringe Festival, 2019, respectively.

With Dear Aunt Gertrude, Victoria has played in the Sarasota Improv Festival at FST, the American Stage Improv Festival (ASIF), the Central Florida Improv Festival, the Palm Beach Improv Festival and the Orlando Comedy Festival, Shenanigans.

Victoria is a graduate of Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Clown College with a BFA in Humility where she first studied improv, the Viola Spolin method. Victoria has also studied with David Razowsky, Amanda Wirtz (SAK), and online with Anthony Francis, Jessica Lynn Johnson (Soaring Solo) and Jimmy Carrane.

Victoria completed her improv level training at Steel City Improv, including Musical Improv with James Andrzej Rushin. She produced and played in a musical improv duo, The Sensitivities in Pittsburgh.

Victoria Dym will perform with the festival ensemble around 8:30 pm each night on the Commodore Stage from Thursday, August 11 through Saturday, August 13.
